Draft #4

This is my fourth draft and as you can see, I have made some significant changes. Firstly, I changed the background as I feel that the contrast of having a dark background with bright colored text & images made my magazine stand out more. I also decided that although the subheading said 'Monster', there was nothing about the front cover that went with that theme. So, I decided to go back to Dafont.com and look up 'scary' fonts, to match this. I also filled the gap under the modified quote & added the date into the masthead as well as adding a banner and advertising the social media links, which were very important to my target audience.

My target audience were very pleased with the progression of the front cover & were unable to come up with any improvements.

Draft #3

Here is my third draft next to my previous one. The only change I made was my background and I chose red & green as this was not so bright & goes well with the artist's clothes. Although the improvements were done, I don't particularly like the background and I think my front cover has gaps that need to be filled. I also feel that my magazine looks boring, which is the opposite of what I want to achieve.

My target audience suggested that I make the following improvements:

  • Change the quote as some were unaware that 'G.O.A.T.' stood for 'Greatest Of All Time'
  • Make the cover look more 'exciting'

Draft #2

On the right is my second draft, I've placed these two drafts next to each other to make it easier when comparing. The biggest differences here are my suggested improvements which were the background and the photo of the artist. I chose the bright background as it will help my magazine to stand out and I chose this photo as the artist's facial expression goes well with the sub-heading of 'Young Money's Monster'.

Once again, I went to my target audience sample for their opinion and they suggested I need to:

  • Change the background as it is too bright

Draft #1

This is my first draft which is all completed apart from the cover photo. At first glance, I am pleased with how the structure has turned out as it is what I had imagined when creating the outlines for my magazine.

I went to my target audience to get their opinions and advice on improving my magazine and they suggested:
  • Add the photo of my cover artist
  • Make adjustments to the background
